A Mother’s Wedding Dress, A Story Retold👰✨
45 years ago, a young woman stood at the altar in a simple off-white gown, laced with eyelet, as she said "I do" to the man she loved. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising five children and welcoming 13 grandchildren.
Today, her eldest daughter stood in that same dress, high in the mountains, with her sister behind the lens—creating memories in a way that honors the incredible woman who raised them. Tears of bittersweet joy filled our hearts, as our dear mother battles Alzheimer's and is slowly slipping away from us. She may not understand these photos, but we knew we had to do this—not just for her, but for ourselves, as part of our own healing.
One day, as we sat looking at that little dress in a box, we wondered, What should we do with it? What would Mom want? We realized there was no point in letting it sit in storage, slowly fading away. She would have loved to see us making memories with it. So, we decided that the best way to honor her—and to help us move forward—was to do an epic photoshoot! We packed up the dress, grabbed a few extra accessories, ditched our responsibilities for the day, and headed off!
We had an absolute blast! And can I just say—HOW gorgeous my sister is?! Ughh, I just can't! I just can't!
My sister (the stunning model) is an amazing, strong, rockstar of a woman—and one of my heroes. Can I be like you when I grow up?!

Much Love
