Blooming Under the Umbrella🌸☂️🌿

These two have been part of my photography journey since the very beginning—even before it became a real thing. Always up for an adventure, they fill me with joy and bring out the youthfulness in me. They may be my nieces, but they’re also my besties! I love you both dearly—thank you for letting me be your Aunt Lulu!

Also, this was the perfect excuse to create a crazy-heavy, real flower umbrella... because why not?! 🌸📸💖

I took an old umbrella, stripped it of its covering, and added chicken wire, shaping it to fit and securing it in place with wire—all while getting slightly poked and trying to keep my baby out of the way. Then came the fun part—decorating! The night before the shoot, I handpicked most of the greenery from my wild yard, then bought beautiful fresh flowers from our local market. I drove to my niece’s house, where I finished threading each flower through the umbrella. And then, off we went on our adventure! We definitely got some crazy looks, but it was so worth it!

I love capturing lifestyle photography, but every now and then, my creative side takes over, and I can’t resist doing a fun, themed shoot!

Afterward, we ditched the umbrella back in the car (the weight of the flowers was slowly bending the handle) and hiked to a beautiful waterfall—where we made even more giggles and the best memories. I absolutely love hearing these two tell me all about their lives and what’s new in the teenage world.
